Proverbs 31: 30

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised."

Have you ever seen a woman (young or older) who was beautiful and then her personality came out and her beauty was diminished?

Have you ever seen a woman who was not a knock out outwardly, but had such a beautiful spirit that she became more and more beautiful as your time with her grew?

Our society emphasizes outward beauty so much that we forget about true beauty, and we overlook teaching it to our children, especially our daughters.

Beauty fades.

Charm just sounds like it is used to get what one wants deceitfully.

A woman who fears the Lord, she has true beauty and is praised for it throughout her life. When the outward beauty fades, she is still commended for her fear of the Lord.

There are some things in life that are so much more important and valuable than others.

A pretty face? Nice, but it can be taken in an instant or gradually fade away.

A great wardrobe? Styles change so quickly it is hard to keep up sometimes.

A great relationship with the Lord? Can never be taken away, and He never changes.

Let's not forget to teach our daughters what true beauty is. A woman who fears the Lord.
