Our Weekend in Pictures

On the road heading south to visit family.  I love taking pictures of the road infront of us.

We packed a lot of distractions for Addie for our trip down.  String on beads, marshmallows, coloring books, crayons, books, juice, cheese puffs, and pretzels.
When we arrived, we were greeted with love and a huge art easel for Addie.  She wanted to spend as much time on the patio with her "cowah" (color).

We went out for ice cream and to walk around an outdoor mall.  One of the stores was a toy store with Addie-sized shopping carts.  She got the hang of it very quickly.

Lots of toys to look at and play with.
Uncle Jack treated us to Cold Stone ice cream.  Addie had her own- French Vanilla with M&M's.

When we returned to the house, GrandTiti, Belinda, and Addie chased some ducks.  Addie laughed and giggled the entire time.
Uncle Jack and Daddy had to run to the store, so we had a little bit of music time.
Belinda taught herself how to play the guitar.  She would finger the chords and let Addie strum the strings.
When Daddy came back from the store, we went on a little walk around the development.
Brian, you are such a good Daddy.

On Sunday morning, Addie tried putting her clothes on herself.  She just had the shorts upside down, but she had the right idea.

We were able to spend time with Grandma Che-Che (my mother's mom) on Sunday.  I'm glad that Addie has gotten to spend time getting to know her great-grandmother.

I'm eating "frow-days" (strawberries)- see?

Trying to keep the umbrella in the ground.

I'm just happy to be with family.

Playing peek-a-boo with Grandma.

Taking in the sun.
Addie loves going on adventures with her daddy.

Unfortunately, all of the playground equipment was baking out in the sun all morning, so Addie had to sit on Daddy in order to enjoy it.
Pretending to drive.

Getting ready to go into Butterfly World with Uncle Jack.  It has become a yearly tradition.
Uncle Jack, thank you for taking us to Butterfly World.  We had a blast!
Addie's favorite part of Butterfly World was the Bug Zoo- go figure!

Checking our the Lorikeets.  Feeling safe next to Daddy.

There were some birds near our feet.  She was nervous.
This is very typical of her on Brian's shoulders.  Always playing with his ears.
We had a great time with family.  Now to get back into our normal routine.  Addie slept eleven hours on Monday night.  She is getting back to her schedule, too.  Until tomorrow.

  1. Sounds like an absolutely WONDERFUL trip Suzette! So happy for you.- Love that pic of you and A on lawn chairs, where you're sitting all ladylike, and she's just spread out as relaxed (like a man) as can be! Ha! Made me laugh out loud :-)
