Addie Girl at 15 Months

  • Devotions (right now we are reading- I mean talking about the pictures- "Little Boy Jesus")
  • Sunday School lessons on the fridge
  • Repeating phonetic sounds for A, M, N, S, T, and X
  • Watching the Your Baby Can Read DVDs
  • Going over your word books and flashcards (you whimper- working on that- when I put them away)
  • Singing "Jesus Loves Me"
  • Singing "If You're Happy and You Know It"
  • Singing "The Eentsy Weentsy Spider"
  • Singing "Rolling Over"
  • Singing "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes" (actually, we sing, and you do the hand motions)
  • Hiding your magnetic fridge alphabets in the diaper bag
  • Your "number" books- and hitting each page as if you were counting the shapes
  • "N-daap", "zup", "wah-zup", "dup", "mumumum", "da", "ooooh", and "bwoo"- all sounds we hear on a minutely basis
  • Putting your shapes puzzle together (you are really good with the blue circle, green square, and orange rectangle)
  • Putting ten nesting cups together in about 2 minutes
  • Stacking your nesting blocks- not just nesting them
  • Playing with your toys the "right" way- not just turning them over to look and their undersides
  • Coloring- actually more like a scribble here and a scribble there
  • Being obedient- you generally listen when we tell you not to do something
  • Eating mashed potatoes (yeah!!)
  • Eating Spanish Farina (Cream of Wheat)
  • Playing alone for a bit
  • Bouncing a ball to us
  • Sharing (so proud)
  • Playing and talking in the church nursery instead of sitting in the stroller while crying (Miss Joy told me you shared a book with a little boy- actually you "traded" the book he had with the one you had...and he went along with the trade)
