They Grow So Fast

I can't believe that one year and two weeks ago, I had given birth to this tiny, helpless baby.

And now......

He's walking!!!!

Stop the presses! Hold on! When did this happen!

The day before his actual birthday, he had taken 4 or five unassisted steps, and gradually over the last week and a half he has gotten more comfortable on his feet.

Yesterday, I took a lot of video of him walking through his room and in the living room. I chose this video because it was my favorite of the bunch. But mostly because it took place after one of the sweetest things that a baby brother could do for his big sister.

Brian had been playing with the kids in the living room and was tickling Addie, who of course, was shrieking as loud as she could because that is what she does. Ian crawled over to them as fast as he could, and with the most determined look in his eyes, he began scratching Brian's arm in an effort to "protect " his sister. Brian couldn't believe it! Then, Ian went on to crawl to Addie and give her a huge hug!

Yes, we are two very proud parents. And we think our kids are the greatest!
